Not many people would dispute the fact that we’re facing tough economic times, but what if you could make money from home to create your own economy, regardless of who is in the White House? It is time for a paradigm shift in our thinking, and to start to take control and ownership for our own individual financial situations if we are to prosper in the future. Please don’t misunderstand me.
I think Barack Obama will be an outstanding President, and it is refreshing to see new leadership in Washington with progressive ways of thinking. Let me introduce a new concept to you that you may not have thought of before. What if you had your own business that was home-based, and it continued to grow and flourish despite what the economy was doing? What if this business gave you a steady stream of increasing income month after month, year after year, and was possibly recession-proof?
What if you offered a product or service that performed well in a good or bad economy? These are definitely things to ponder. Their will always be a small percentage of people who do well, and it doesn’t matter what is happening around them, because their mindset is focused, driven, and determined. They have plugged into a proven system that has performed and stood the test of time.
They are consistently getting better with personal development products and mentorship with like-minded people. Just imagine how life would be for you and your family to live life on your own terms. One of the most impressive aspects of home-business ownership is the fact that it does not matter what your background is.
I have literally seen people from all walks of life imagineable succeed in this business. People who were once homeless are now enjoying lifestyles that are only provided by six and seven figure incomes. If it happened for them, it can happen for you. You must first believe, and put the system to work for you on a daily basis until you reach your goal. It’s time to think outside the box of a traditional 40 hour work week, working for 40 years, and receiving 40 percent of your annual income at retirement, when most people find it hard to make it on 100% of what they’re earning now. What a good feeling it would be to work when you want , with whomever you want , and still make a six or seven figure income. Think of all the good you can do for your family. Your kids can attend the private school of your choice, instead of the one assigned to you according to someone else’s standards. You can travel where you want, for how long you want, and possibly bring other family members, if you so desire. The bottom line is that you can upgrade your standard of living and still spend all the time you want with your family instead of going to a “job”. I personally don’t know too many people who would not want that for their families.
With all the income that you can make, you can also donate a portion of your earnings to your church or your favorite charities. Is always makes us feel good when we can give back to help a worthy cause or to someone less fortunate than we are.

In today’s economy, there have not been more people who have lost their job or traditional form of income since the Great Depression. Millions of people are now out of work and desperately seeking alternate forms of generating money to pay their bills, which unfortunately, do not stop arriving in our mailboxes just because of a job loss. For most of us, we have never seen the economy this bad in our entire lifetime and would never have thought that we would lose our jobs after dedicating so many years working hard for our respective companies. Not many hardships could compare to the loss of our income and means of supporting ourselves and our beloved families. I have nothing but compassion for the millions out of work and looking for a solution to their mounting problems. Many have to settle for jobs, if they are fortunate enough to find one, that pay significantly less than their prior occupations and working conditions that may be substandard. While the aforementioned facts are somewhat depressing, I am here to let you know there is a beacon of light shining at the end of the tunnel that wants to draw you in and spread a little sunshine on your life. This light, beaming like the bright rays of the sun, can possibly take you to levels of prosperity that most ordinary “jobs” wouldn’t be able to provide in two lifetimes of working them. What I am referring to is a home-based business. The following is my top ten of what can be accomplished with a home-based business, and what can be your “Plan B” that can put you on the road to financial freedom.

Social media is the latest and biggest form of communication used by people worldwide to communicate with each other on anything and everything imaginable from personal interest, advertising, network marketing, hobbies, newsworthy events, personal development, online marketing, and anything else that captures our attention that we may want to share with others. Since this form of communication is online, we can reach out to others on a global basis instantly with words, pictures, videos, blogs, cartoons, and any other media transmitted via the world wide web. The average time spent on social media is over four times that of radio and TV combined! In terms of using this a way of doing business online, lets take a look at how fast some of the more popular social media sites are growing.
Facebook.com is one of the most popular sites that has over 140,000,000 active users and is growing at a rate of over 250,000 new users a day. The average user logs on 3-4 times a day and spends an average of 19 minutes on the site. The site is used to communicate with like-minded people and has become a popular means of growing businesses online. Large news conglomerates, like CNN, even use Facebook to stay in touch with their viewers. As a tool to grow a business, you definitely want to be where there is so much growth and activity to have the ability to reach out to a large audience.
Twitter.com is another popular site where the user can send out a “tweet”, or a message to other users in their network at a rate of 140 characters at a time. Twitter is growing at a rate of over 300,000 new users every month. Users send out over 4,000,000 messages a day to other users in the system. With this kind of networking between the people in this system, it comes as no surprise that it is one of the most popular social media sites. Twitter and Facebook allow the user to post a picture of himself/herself so the world can have a visual image of who they are communicating with.
The last site I will discuss is Youtube.com, which is a site where the user can post a video and upload it for other users to see. No longer are we confined to words and images, but we can now share a video. It’s like having your own TV station to broadcast your video to the interested person. This allows a more personal experience where the end user will be able see you and your work more effectively. Youtube has 75,000,000 videos and is growing at a rate of 150,000 per day. Youtube is also growing faster than its predecessor, which is television.
If you have intentions on growing a business online, I highly suggest you get into social media. This is being implemented not only by online networkers, but major corporations, as they see this is the wave of the future for advertising and communication.

With this industry, you market a product or service that you believe in to other like-minded individuals or groups and receive a commission when that product or service is sold, usually cutting out the middleman in the process(unlike retail), thereby having the ability to keep a larger percentage of the earnings as profit for you.

The Analogy Between MLK Jr.’s Speech and Network Marketing/MLM

On this historic day, which has been set aside to commemorate the life and works of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I want to give some similarities between the famous “I Have A Dream” speech that was given at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. on August 28, 1963, and the network marketing/MLM industry, and how those of us in this industry can help keep his dream alive.
Martin Luther King, Jr. refers to the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and how it was a promise that all men, black and white, would be guaranteed the “unalienable Rights” of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” Not only does a person seek this when it comes to equality in the workplace and employment, fairness in housing, obtaining lodging, obtaining consumer goods, education and healthcare, but also in obtaining wealth and a higher standard of living for his/her family to acheive the things never before thought possible. Our industry can, and has, provided this for so many people, regardless of race, creed, color, or educational background. Our industry has truly provided the “Pursuit Of Happiness” for the person who is willling to work hard and follow a system that is proven to work. More millionaires have recently been produced from our industry than any other industry. My company, alone, produces a new six-figure yearly earner every 12 days and a new, cummulative Millionare Club Member every 28 days.
Dr. King further comments that “America has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked “insufficient funds.” One of the reasons I am so proud to be involved in this industry is the number of minorities I see achieving the top levels of their companies. I see no other company in this great country of ours produce the amount of six and even seven figure yearly income earners than from the network marketing arena. Not only are these significant incomes earned, but it is being done in record time instead of having to wait 20-30 years, as in corporate America. I personally see people earn a multiple six-figure income in this industry in 1-3 years while building a passive-residual income that they can pass down to their kids and grandkids.
Dr. King also speaks being a “victim of unspeakable horrors”, which was normally police brutality that Black people had to endure doing those times. For some people, the “unspeakable horror” of today is being a slave to the stereotypical 9-5 job. Not that police brutality doesn’t exist today, but far more people go to a job everyday that they don’t like than falling victim to police brutality. Our industry gives the potential time and financial freedom to live life on your own terms without a traditional job. What if you had the income you desired but worked the hours that you wanted instead of the hours that your boss dictated?
To sum it up, network marketing can make you like that old Negro Spiritual:
